Although I was always drawn towards healing as a career, I knew at an early age that I was not destined to become a doctor or nurse…..I would never be able to get past giving shots! As it turned out, my path would lead me towards less “traditional” healing methods. Discovering both medical massage and Reiki was like a dream come true for me. Not only did I personally experience the benefits of massage and Reiki, a door was opened that would lead to a new career. I am trained to give both relaxation and treatment massages based largely on Swedish Massage techniques.

Through my skills as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I hope to reach clients with musculo-skeletal dysfunctions associated with lifestyle, work environment, postural issues and stress. I strive to use innovative techniques incorporating medical massage with energy work to reduce stress and pain and increase mobility towards improving my client’s quality of life. Each massage is tailored to fit the needs of the individual client so that the treatment will be a beneficial and positive experience.

I decided I wanted to become a massage therapist when I was a young girl. I received my first massage when I was 11 from a family friend who was a masseuse. I remember feeling so wonderful during and after the massage; I had never experienced anything like it and thought that it would be an incredible gift to be able to share that experience with others.

I give both treatment and relaxation massages, and the primary techniques that I use are based upon Swedish Massage methods, with a generous helping of sports massage techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and a variety of other procedures. Much of the muscular pain that people experience is due to postural distortions that can often be relieved or corrected once the client understands the underlying cause; that is why I believe so strongly in educating my clients about their particular issues.

I truly enjoy helping my clients relax and recover from pain, and I like for them to feel that the whole session is entirely focused on them and their needs. I feel that each massage I give is a special opportunity for me to help someone, and I am grateful for each client who walks through my door. I say a silent prayer before each massage to ask for guidance with each client and to help each person heal. It is the most rewarding career I could ever imagine.

I am available most days/evenings of the regular work week, and one Saturday per month.
