Bowenwork®
Using gentle touch, a
practitioner makes precise movements over various
muscles and tendons throughout the body. The moves
create a resetting of the body’s various systems for the
purpose of bringing the body into balance, thereby
promoting healing and well-being. The body can use the
energetic signals facilitated during a session to elicit
deep, healing responses within the body on many
different levels - mind, body and spirit. Some clients
go into a very deep state of relaxation, while others
report significant pain relief in addition to the
relaxed state. For more information about the conditions
that have been helped by Bowenwork, read the Bowen
information sheet
here or visit the
Bowenwork academy website.
The first time you visit, the cost is $115 + tax, which
pays for the first and second (necessary) visit the
following week. Subsequent appointments are $50 + tax. The typical session
length is between 30-60 minutes, depending upon your
body's needs, and one therapist can work on two people
at once. Contact Kim at 937-304-4301.
Wedding or Event Chair
or Table Massage
Make your event perfect by offering chair or
table massages for your guests. We will bring all the
necessary supplies to relax your guests, you just need
to provide the space. For charitable events, we will
often provide this service for free if we are contacted
in advance. Massages are a great way to calm a nervous
bride & groom and eliminate some of the wedding jitters.

De-stress - Relaxation Massage
Prepare for pampering as we massage away your
worries and stresses. If you have a painful area that
needs a little more attention, let us know beforehand
and we will spend extra time there. In general, Swedish
massage techniques will be used, as well as joint
movements and gentle stretching techniques if needed.
Your therapist will make sure that the temperature and
pressure is comfortable for you. Also available as gift
certificates -

Sports Massage
Sports massage is not just for elite athletes;
we are all athletes in our own way, whether we are
weekend warriors, marathon runners, or casual gardeners.
Injuries can and do affect everyone at some point, and
sports massage can help you recover from an injury. We can
also perform pre-event/post-event massage
to help you perform better during an event, or to
recover from an event. Muscle specific sports massage
techniques will be employed. We recommend that your
first massage with us should not be a pre-event massage;
it is important to know how your body responds to
massage, and which techniques work best for you, before
scheduling a pre-event massage.

Pregnancy (Pre-natal)
Massage for low-risk pregnancy
We will pamper you while trying to gently lengthen your
spine and increase space within your body for increased
comfort. Pregnancy massage can help reduce your aches
and pains, while helping to increase circulation and
possibly reducing the swelling that often
accompanies pregnancy. We will also discuss postural
issues that often occur during pregnancy, if you are
interested.
For your comfort and safety,
much of the massage
will be performed while you are in a side-lying
position (if you are more than 12 weeks along), with plenty of pillows for support.
The remainder of the massage will be in a seated
position upon the table. Our tables have an electric lift
on it to help you climb aboard, and the back lifts up
into a comfortable reclining position for your comfort. Your
partner is welcome to join you, and we will be happy to
teach them some techniques to use at home that can help
reduce your discomfort. Once again, it is important that
you communicate with your therapist about any pain or
discomfort. Also available as gift
certificates.
It is important to check
with your doctor first to verify that massage is
indicated for you. Contraindications may include
varicose veins, pitting edema, pre-eclampsia,
cervical/uterine issues, cardiac disorders, chronic
hypertension, previous/current multiple births,
diabetes, and more, so please check with your doctor
first. If you have a high risk pregnancy, please
contact
us so that we can make specific
recommendations.
Therapeutic/treatment massage
During a treatment massage, we will focus on
specific body areas to help restore your body to
health. This massage may include joint movements,
deep tissue massage, and
active stretching, as well as a pre-massage
interview to determine the best treatment for you.
It is possible that the entire massage period may be
spent on one general area, such as the back.
Therapeutic massage may be more intense than a
relaxation massage, so be sure to communicate with your
therapist. Also available as
gift certificates.

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress
reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It
is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the
idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us
and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force
energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or
feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of
being happy and healthy. Treatment feels like a
wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around
you. Reiki treats the whole person including body,
emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial
effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace,
security and wellbeing - 937-219-6335. Reiki training is
also available - call Robin at 937-219-6335. |
